criminal minds "hunh?" moment tonight

i've only seen about a third of the ep, but, seriously, CM, WTF what.the.fuck? why is Emily relegated to "fluffer" status with the wife of the vic? Is she now no longer capable of being the empathetic, intuitive investigator who's finest moments are when she's running a cognitive interview? because, you know, Rossi's always been such a warm and fuzzy guy, right? oy vey. bad job, writers. you fumbled this one.

is this then, just another symptom of the sickness that is creeping into cbs' shows? eliminate the strong, capable of functioning without the strong support of their handsome, middle aged men, characters? tsk, tsk network... backsliding is in poor taste.

now i begin to wonder if criminal minds was *too* popular... it's not like csi where you can create a dozen clones in various cities and rinse, repeat story ideas... ugh.

Haven't seen it yet, but may give it a miss now. Not in the mood to get pissed off. Thanks for the heads up, Shay.

it didn't piss me off so much as utterly confuse me. i think i get that emily was basically doing jj's old job... but they could have tossed in a simple scene where hotch tells emily to prep the vic's wife for interview... and emily griping that jj used to do that... right now, it just looked like emily couldn't do her own job properly...

outside of that moment, it was kind of a lame ep... it lacked the punch of danger that usually accompanies a CM ep

I'm not surprised they're playing these games... CBS are idiots...

They certainly seem to be trying to make us believe they are... LOL!

The whole episode was so...odd. The whole 'he's burning people on Halloween!' thing was ridiculous.

And yes, they made Emily do JJ's job with the wife, basically. But at least we got the "Are you married? // [uncomfortable] No, I'm not." exchange. *g*

yes, there is that. a small nugget of femslashy hope buried in that pile of poorly executed (not by Paget) poop.
