DVD-R ramble + fic plug
Oct. 29th, 2005 12:20 pmokay so we go out and buy a dvd recorder for the tv. get it set up. ready to go. stick dvd in. supposed to be a 120 minute dvd. i figure that's gotta be enough to record a 2 hour movie. uh uh. the last like, ten-fifteen minutes is chopped off. wtf? so i am looking through the directions... and i guess you can choose record speed, like a vcr... (sp, slp, xp, etc) my thought is... won't there be an equal loss of recording quality? i mean... the caps i got off the dvd are already a little on the grainy... icky side.
of course, i'm a little spoiled by seeing these absolutely mindblowing HDTV caps posted over at a cold case board...
(and there's not enough, there's never enough LOL when it's that good... i mean, the caps are almost better than the moving picture on my television, and i've got a halfway decent tv LOL)
anyway. i guess i'll try a combination of making the dvd go slower/faster?? and pausing to kill commercials (let's hope i'm not as bad at forgetting to unpause the dvd as i was the vcr...)
anyway... i'm off to study my eyelids at length.
if you're a buffy/angel/diane neal/dracula fan... go read my fic! LOL even if you're not and you just like good stories... go read my fic!! ;) http://www.geocities.com/shaych3/riftu01.htm
